Attention all juniors:  On Monday, February 12th during sixth period we will conduct a pre-administration session for the ACT.  Please report to the cafeteria at the beginning of 6th period with a number two pencil and list of colleges.  A list of colleges is not required, but you can send your scores to four colleges free of charge.  This session will last approximately one hour and is MANDATORY.  Please see your counselor with any questions.

The Terrence L Wenger, DDS, MS Science Scholarship is a $1000 scholarship provided by Wenger Orthodontics to a graduating high school senior who plans to pursue a science major.


$500 presented by the West Geauga Class of 1977 Open to seniors who submit an answer to the following essay.  The winner of the scholarship will be determined by a committee of members from the class of 1977. The topic of the essay:

Imagine that it is YOUR 40th high school reunion. People at the reunion are going to ask about your life and your career. In your essay, discuss what you will tell your classmates are the most important lessons that you learned during your 40 years after graduation, and how your education and your friendships at West Geauga contributed to those lessons.

Essay is due in the Guidance Office by MARCH 15, 2018. For questions, please contact Mrs. Javorek at teri.javorek@westg.org.

The Geauga County Maple Festival is now accepting applications for their royal pageant.  Deadline is Feb. 25.  Please visit  www.maplefestival.com for more information.

The Key Club basketball tournament has been cancelled. Please see Ms. Widman or Grace Carter if you have any questions or concerns.

The West Geauga Education Association will be offering a scholarship to a senior who will begin his/her freshman year in college in the fall of 2018.  Applicants must be pursuing a career in education, or be the son or daughter of an educator.  Preference will be given to applicants pursuing a career in education.  Academic achievement, community involvement, and activities will also be considered .DUE DATE:  MARCH 16, 2018 TO THE HIGH SCHOOL GUIDANCE DEPARTMENT

Attention all new and current College Credit Plus students:  You must complete a letter of intent (green form) by April 1 to participate in CCP next year.  If you do not turn in a form or turn in the form after April 1 CCP will not be an option for you next year.  This is a strict deadline with no exceptions.  If you missed the meeting please see your counselor for additional information.

Our Winter Wonderland Snow Ball Dance will be held on Saturday, February 10th from 8-11 pm.  

Everyone was sent a voting link for the 2018 King of Hearts.  Voting is open through Saturday at 6pm.  Make sure to check your school email and vote for your King!  The King will be crowned during the Snow Ball Dance on Saturday!
