Physical Education
The Physical Education Program at Westwood is concerned with the total education through physical activities, which are selected and carried on with full regard to human growth, development, and behavior. The program is intended to provide the individual with opportunities for physical, mental, emotional, and social growth in order that he/she may become a more worthwhile and active member of society. The Physical Education program, as part of the total education program, seeks to accomplish the same goal that gives purpose to all other learning experiences: the optimum guidance and development of youth in a way that they can live healthy, satisfying, and useful lives as responsible citizens in a democratic society.
