Eat it up!

Every year the West Geauga Key Club holds its annual spaghetti dinner to benefit Leber's Disease. On Friday, October 10, 2003, the affair had an awesome turnout. For only $5.00, a plate of mouthwatering spaghetti and meatballs with salad and a breadstick was served before the football game from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. This one night per year is used to help raise money for Leber's Disease. This disease affects the eyes and causes blindness. A big thank you goes out to everyone who helped with and attended the spaghetti dinner (especially all of Key club and Mr. Callahan). Mrs. Amantea was also extremely happy about the turn out and how it was run and, while she is almost at her goal for the funding of research, any donations are still appreciated. She was not expecting anything, considering both of her kids are already graduated; that made it all the more special. Let's hope every year is as profitable as the past four have been, with even more people helping and money being raised for such a good cause. Mrs. Amantea says thank you to everyone and has a message for Mr. Callahan and the Key Club: "May God bless all of the members of the Key Club, you are all priceless!"
