Two years ago senior Jared Mortiz began the journey of getting a pilot license. With his Grandfather and Uncle both being pilots, being around planes is second nature for Jared. Jared Flies a Cessna 172, which is a four-seat plane. To obtain his pilot's license, Jared must pass a flight check with an instructor and have fifty hours of airtime. At 100 dollars per hour flight time if quite pricey, but Jared has high hopes that he will be earning his license very soon.

Hand picked for an exclusive Fielders Choice baseball team, Joe Leonette proves that he is the cream of the crop. Fielders Choice is not your average baseball team. The team plays very competitive teams from Michigan to Florida, practice hard, and long to be ready for their games. Joe plays second of shortstop and bats third in the order with one of the best batting averages on his team. Joe is also a well-rounded athlete as he participates in basketball and football. When asked about the upcoming Wolverine baseball season, all Joe had to say was, "I will try my hardest. I want to play with John Barta." Joe has an obviously packed schedule, but still manages to achieve all this and more.

We all have listened to music and have envied rock stars. We have also all thought about what it would be like to play our favorite instrument. However, sophomore, Chase Pool, has put his musical thoughts into action. In eighth grade Chase took his fist guitar lesson and has not been able to put it down since. Chase has been playing the acoustic guitar for two year and is quite accomplished. He loves rock music and says that joining a band might be in the near future.
