Mr. Sustin Takes His Class on a Field Trip
23 of Mr. Sustin's Chemistry students went to the Cleveland
Museum of Natural History on 3/22 to hear Dr. Jennifer Johnson of The Ohio
State University give a lecture called "Stellar Alchemy: The Origin of
the Elements." Dr. Johnson described current and cutting edge research
that explained how the heavier elements are formed through fusion reactions
in stars and supernovae. The lecture was part of the museum's Frontiers In
Astronomy lecture series.
