On Saturday, December 2, the West Geauga Swim Team had their first meet of the year in the Bedford Relays. Five other schools were there with the likes of: Nordonia, Aurora, Bedford, Brush, and Cleveland Heights. The boy's team came in first place and brought home a nice addition to the trophy case. The girls came in third, which was a good standing considering they have only 9 swimmers and couldn't participate in two of the events. Coryn Friedel, newly appointed captain, and Becky Roman gave the girl's team some extra points with their awesome diving skills. Also, thirteen swimmers went home with the first place plaques that were given to the swimmers that swam on a winning relay.
Another notable achievement was that the boy's medley relay that beat the school record of 1:55.72 with their new time of 1:55.20. Congratulations to Todd Kowalski, Beau Lajeunesse, Anthony Pirc, and Jason Sacash on this great accomplisment!
