by Jordan Jukiewicz, staff writer

One of the coolest things about the approaching holiday season is the bright, florescent, lights we’ll see everywhere. And this winter there are quite a few places that have spectacular lighting displays. In Akron at Portage Path, the grounds will be illuminated with over 200,000 lights this season! Located at 714 Portage Path in Akron, this lighting display will be open from December 11th to December 30th! You can call 330-836-5533 for more information.
The Cleveland Metroparks Zoo puts on a holiday display with massive amounts of lights, entertainment, ice carving, and even some reindeer! These festivities are being held December 1st to the 3rd, the 8th to the 23rd, and the 26th to the 30th. All days things start at 5:30 PM and are open until 9:00 PM. Call 216-635-3366 or you can visit the Metroparks Zoo web site for more information.
At Lake County Farmpark in Kirtland, you can take a horse-drawn wagon ride to see some serious lights with live entertainment and a holiday buffet available at Gavi’s Café in the park. Call 800-669-9226 for more information, reservations, or tickets.
