A New Face Roams the Halls
by Jordan Jukiewicz Co-Editor

Mrs. Susan Reehorst is a new special education teacher here at West Geauga. She has a bachelor degree in political science from Kent State University and also attended Cleveland State University and Notre Dame College to obtain her graduate degree, Special Education License and her Reading Certification. Previously Mrs. Reehorst worked in retail for Revlon Department store cosmetic lines (Borgheses, Ultima, Charles of the Ritz, Alexandre de Markoff). She hired and trained the line advisors, held training schools when new products came out, and organized promotions and events. After eight successful years with Revlon, Mrs. Reehorst was fortune enough to be able to quit her job and stay home with her children.
Mrs. Reehorst has been married to her husband Dan for 17 years. They have two children, Ethan (14) and Nolan (11). When her children started school, Mrs. Reehorst spent a lot of time volunteering and found she really enjoyed it. She started to substitute teach and discovered it was something she wanted to pursue.
In her spare time Mrs. Reehorst likes to hang out with her husband and her boys. She loves to read, ice skate, water ski, bike ride, going boating, and just plain relaxing. She loves meeting new students and she loves knowing that she’ll never stop learning.
So if you’re in the hall and you see an unfamiliar face say hello and welcome Mrs. Reehorst to West Geauga!
