Latin Club travels to… Columbus?
by Kathleen Dolphin, Editor

March is rapidly approaching and the Latin Club is hopeful for another first place finish in points “per capita” (per person) and overall points at the Ohio Junior Classical League Convention in Columbus, Ohio. Over 1,000 students from all over Ohio compete in this convention, held March 7-9. Students spend the weekend at a hotel in Columbus and take tests in the following categories: Roman history, mythology, Latin literature, grammar, reading comprehension, vocabulary, derivatives, Pentathalon, and Roman Culture.
Friday, January 11, Latin students stayed after school to take an entrance exam given by Mr. Prueter. Congratulations Nathan Huntsberger, Alex Dangelo, Greg Drockton, Jess Gramc, Kevin Kramer, Nick McKinney, Mariah Wright, Sophie Shiloh, Emily Koenig, Andrew Bruss, Andrew Check, Clay McMullen, Andrew Novak, Terry Check, Mandi Cooper, Sarah Zizanski, Eric Lu, Chris Dawson, Jacob Gelman, Bill Kulp, Erin McKinney, David Moskowitz, and Kate Snyder on your achievement and good luck in Columbus!
