West G. TV is back after the winter break hiatus, and they are ready for action.
With Mr. Jay Bishop leading his dedicated and talented pack of school reporters,
anchors and production people, 2008 is certain to be another great year for
West Geauga’s morning broadcast. Said sophomore morning anchor Sierra
Wilson, “It’s great being able to talk to the school every morning
and inform everybody what activities and events are coming up.” Added
junior Stephanie Javorek, “I really missed West G. TV while I was on break;
it’s nice do the morning announcements again.”
Of course, taking two weeks off means that it takes a little extra work so that the announcements meet Mr. Bishop’s high standards. “The winter break set us back a little, and we had to – we still have to – work on editing and direction, and make sure the anchors do their job as professionally as possible,” remarked Bishop. “Even though this is a school course, since a lot of the students are interested in television journalism and visual media, we want to prepare them as much as possible for the high standards of the network news.”
