Blood Drive, Bloody Blood Drive
by Joe Barille Staff Writer

Did you know that every two seconds someone needs blood? There are also about one billion blood cells in two or three drops of blood. Your donated blood can save more than one life at a time.
The Red Cross will be holding a blood drive May 9th in the West Geauga gymnasium. Students and teachers who meet the criteria will be able to donate blood. To be able to donate, one must be 17 years old, weigh more than 110 lbs, be in a healthy condition, and not have drank alcohol 48 hours prior to donating.
Mr. Kripple is always seen donating for the great cause. “It is my way of saying thanks and giving back to society,” said Kripple. He enjoys talking to the students during the blood giving process, which could be more motivation to go to the blood drive.
