The Wolverines record is now 5-4 after a 49-13 route of the Wickliffe Blue Devils and a close 21-14 loss to the Aurora Greenmen. The Homecoming game versus the Orange Lions was on October 12th. “Orange is a dangerous team. They aren’t the same as they’ve been in years past,” said Mr. Lou Cirino. West Geauga hasn’t lost to Orange since 1992 and that trend continued with the Wolverines 56-0 feast of Lions.
Week nine featured the match up we had all been waiting for: West Geauga at Perry! The Perry Pirates were undefeated at 8-0 but the Wolverines put a spoil on their hopes for an undefeated season with a 41-7 victory. “We played great defense and the offensive line dominated. That, my friend, is the recipe for a blowout,” said senior captain Bobby Scott. Bobby scored three touchdowns in this game and was also named D1 Football’s “Shut Up and play the Game” Gameday MVP for Week 9.
The final game of the season will be against the Beachwood Bison on Saturday October 27th against the Beachwood Bison.
