On Tuesday, October 9th, the Varsity Boys Soccer team played Chagrin Falls at Chagrin. Both teams started out strong, but Chagrin was able to put a goal in early off of a corner kick. After the goal the West g boys kept their heads high and continued to play well until Chagrin scored another goal bringing the score to 2-0 in favor of Chagrin. Within the last minute of the first half Chagrin scored once again, closing out the half with a 3-0 lead. With the game looking out of reach, the West G players looked to the leadership of the coach Brian Murphy, who inspired the team with a great half-time speech and rallied the team to start the second half strong and score a goal within the first two minutes of the half bringing the score to 3-1. Using the momentum from the first goal the Wolverines were able score again two minutes after their first goal. 10 minutes later, the Wolves found the back of the net again tying the game at 3-3. Even with some many opportunities, the Wolverines could not score another goal and after a hard fought match, the game ended in a tie.
