On September 15, the boys' and girls' cross country teams ran at the Mcdonough Invitational. This meet was at Forest Hills Park in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. The boys had to run without the people who are also in marching band, which includes 4 of the 7 usual varsity runners. The runners all powered through the gigantic hill and finished well, despite being without some runners. The varsity boys finished 9th out of 16 teams, the JV boys finished 9th out of 10 teams, and the varsity girls finished 6th out of 13 teams. Finishing first for the boys (43rd overall) was Colton Crowl, with a time of 19:32, and first for the girls (22nd overall) was Kristina Zerbe, with a time of 22:19. Their next meet is on Tuesday, September 18 at the Open Door Invitational in Elyria, Ohio. The season is coming to an end, with at least 5 meets left, including the district meet! The boys and girls still have to run the Open Door Invitational, Gilmour Invitational (top 9 runners only), Andrews-Osborne Invitational, CVC meet (at Hawken), District meet (at Lakeland Community College), and possibly the Regional meet and State meet!
