The West geauga Wolverines Boys Soccer team traveled to Chagrin on Tuesday, October 7th to take on the Tigers. The Tigers got the first goal of the game on a backdoor cross. The Wolverines came back quickly with a goal scored by Jake Clark, who has led the Wolverines all year in scoring. With the score tied 1-1 with 7 minutes left in the half Jake got a ball from Steven Klingman and put it in the back of the net once again. At halftime the score was 2-1 in favor of the Wolverines. The second half was a different story unfortunately. The Wolverines were unable to get any offense going as Chagrin kept the ball on the Wolverines half most of the time. Chagrin tied the game just 3 minutes into the second half which sparked a chain of events for the Tigers. With that goal came another just minutes after to put the Tigers up 3-2. The Wolverines kept fighting but could not get it done. The Tigers scored one more before the game ended, making the final score Chagrin Falls 4 and The West Geauga Wolverines 2. The Boys' last regular season game is on Saturday, October 11th. Come out and support them as they try to gain momentum moving into postseason play.
