The West Geauga Wolverines football team traveled to Chagrin Falls on Friday, October 17th to take on their rival Chagrin Falls. The Wolverines got off to a hot start scoring two touchdowns in the first quarter. Abdul Levy took it in from 9 yards out, then on the next drive Carmen Engoglia powered it in from a yard out. After one quarter West G had a 14-0 lead. The Tigers answered in the second quarter scoring a touchdown on an 8 yard pass. The Wolverines bounced back quickly as Carmen found Joey Fornaro for a 62 yard touchdown pass to put the Wolverines up 21-7. At halftime the score was 21-15 in favor of the Wolverines. This game was a tale of two halves, as Chagrin scored 3 touchdowns in the third quarter to give them the lead. The Wolverines fought hard to make a comeback in the fourth but fell short by 2 points. The final score was 36-34 in favor of Chagrin Falls. The football team is playing Kenston this week in hopes of making a late playoff push. Come out and support!
