Calamity Days Information
Currently, the Ohio State Department of Education has changed school district reporting requirements for instructional time. In the past, school districts calculated the traditional school year in terms of calendar days. Now, school districts report to the state based on minimum hours of instruction. This new reporting system allows certain flexibility for those districts located in the 'snow zone'.

West Geauga Schools are still well over the minumum number of instructional hours required by state law. So, currently, there is no need to make up additional days or to make additional course work accessible to staff and students. Thank you so much for your patience with this cold winter.
