West Geauga Adds Chinese Language Studies to Curriculum

As a new offering for the 2019-2020 school year, the West Geauga School District has hired a teacher to offer Chinese language studies to students.
The new teacher, Qian Wu, who was introduced at the June 24th Board of Education Meeting, will have the opportunity to teach Chinese to both Middle School and High School students who want to be exposed to the language and culture of China.
“This is a significant addition to our foreign language programs,” said Dr. Richard Markwardt, Superintendent. “We are excited to have Ms. Wu join our team and work with our students to prepare them to enter a global market.”
