Today, The United States Department of Education announced that Robert C. Lindsey Elementary has received the 2023 National Blue Ribbon School award. Lindsey Elementary is one of only 353 public and non-public schools in the nation to receive this year’s distinction.
“Receiving the National Blue Ribbon School Award from the U.S. Department of Education for Robert C. Lindsey Elementary School is a great honor”, states West Geauga Superintendent Dr. Richard Markwardt. “Qualifying for the Award is itself a compliment. Completing the lengthy application process and being selected as a National Blue Ribbon School is a testament to the many aspects of education, in addition to academic achievement, that make Lindsey Elementary School a Blue Ribbon School. These elements include an extensive curriculum, strong educational supports, extracurricular opportunities, and community engagement. All of these components are demonstrated daily by the fine students, staff, and families who earned this prestigious national honor.”
