Power has been restored to all West Geauga School buildings. The West Geauga Board of Education Office will reopen on Monday. Coaches have been notified that practices at the high school and middle school can resume as scheduled.

The posting of student schedules and bus assignments in Infinite Campus has been rescheduled to Wednesday, August 14 at 2:00 PM.

The West Geauga Local School District has scheduled a Finance Committee Meeting in the Professional Development Conference Room at 8615 Cedar Rd, Chesterland OH 44026 on August 13, 2024 at 3:00 PM.

Attention Android Phone Users - If you deleted the previous Infinite Campus Parent App as instructed and are having difficulty reinstalling the updated app on your phone, please try following these steps to clear the cache. 1) Go to Settings. 2) Click on Apps. 3) Click on the parent or student app (whichever you are using). 4) Scroll down and click Storage. 5) Tap the Clear Cache button and Clear Storage options. After completing these steps, try restarting your phone and that should then allow you to select West Geauga School District when you open the App.

The Infinite Campus server migration was successful and it is back online. Use the new link provided below to access your Parent Portal: https://westgoh.infinitecampus.org/campus/portal/west_geauga.jsp. Due to the migration, if you use the Campus Parent App on your device, you will need to delete and reinstall the app. Important note - upon installation of the app, when searching for the district, you will now type and select "West Geauga Local SD". This is a change from previous instructions.

The West Geauga Infinite Campus database, including the student and parent apps, will be offline beginning Tuesday, July 23 at 10:00 PM for a planned server migration from the LGCA ITC services to NEOnet. We expect to be back online sometime in the afternoon Wednesday, July 24. During this timeframe, Infinite Campus will be unavailable to all staff, students, and parents, which includes the online registration system and the Annual Census Review. We apologize for any inconvenience. A follow-up message will be posted once Infinite Campus is back online.

The West Geauga Board of Education has scheduled a Records Retention Committee meeting at the West Geauga Local Schools Board Office Community Room on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at 11:00 AM. Refer to the Board of Education webpage for further details under the Committee Meetings section.

Registration for the 2024-2025 school year is now open online for all incoming kindergarten and new students. Please complete kindergarten registration by April 15, 2024. Click the Registration link on our homepage for information.

Did you know that February is “Love the Bus” month? This annual event recognizes the vital role school buses and their drivers play in a school district. The daily journey of the West Geauga fleet covers an impressive 3,396 miles. To put that into perspective, that’s the equivalent of traveling from Chesterland to Salt Lake City, UT and back every single day. On average, 1,359 West G students are transported each day. Remarkably, all of this is achieved through the efficient operation of 24 bus and 8 van routes.

Reminder - tonight is the first Board of Education meeting in 2024. The meeting begins at 6:45 to include the Tax Budget Meeting, Organizational Meeting, followed by the Regular Meeting.

Applications for open enrollment of non-resident students for the 2024-2025 school year will be accepted online between January 9, 2024 at 8:00 am - January 16, 2024 at 8:00 am. Applications are time stamped in the order received. No applications will be accepted outside of this timeframe. Reminder - Tomorrow (Thursday, 10/26) is Pajama Day! This Sleep in Heavenly Peace fundraiser helps build and deliver beds to kids in our community who are sleeping on the floor. We invite all students and teachers to wear their pajamas tomorrow. If you are able, our school has chosen $1 for each donation.
