West Geauga High School student Jacob Neiding is earning top honors at every level with his innovative Micromouse robot project. With support from the Gear 4-H Club, Jacob designed, built, and programmed an autonomous robot capable of navigating a maze independently using infrared sensors.
Jacob introduced his project in January, earning first place in the West Geauga STEM Fair. After, he went on to compete in the following:
Northeast Ohio Science and Engineering Fair (NEOSEF) at Lakeland placing 2nd in the Robotics category.
Ohio Academy of Science (OAS) District 5 STEM fair at Kent State qualifying for the State Science Day
Columbus at the OAS State Science Day receiving a "Superior" Rating, the highest rating for a project
We are very proud of the effort Jacob has put into this project and the time he committed to competing at all of the STEM Fair Levels.
