Dear West Geauga Community,
The Ohio Department of Education and Workforce has released the 2025–2026 School Report Cards, and West Geauga Local Schools has once again been recognized as one of the very top-performing districts in the state earning an overall 5-Star Rating.
This year, West Geauga stands as the only school district in the state of Ohio to achieve a 5-Star Rating across every single category:

Early Literacy
Graduation
College, Career, Workforce and Military Readiness
In addition, West Geauga as a district ranked 13th out of 607 public school districts statewide with a Performance Index of 108.9 and achieved the highest overall Star Rating Points with a score of 4.813.
“Achieving a 5-star rating in every single category is an extraordinary distinction,” said Dr. Nancy Benincasa, Superintendent of West Geauga Local Schools. “These results reflect the relentless work of our students, the expertise and care of our staff, and the unwavering support of our families and community.”
The State Report Card serves as an important snapshot of district performance, and this year’s results confirm that West Geauga continues to set a state benchmark for educational quality and growth.
