Students who played Goalball group photo

Goalball is a sport designed specifically for athletes with visual impairment. It is a silent sport where athletes roll a ball with bells, attempting to score in the opponents net. Players defending remain on their hands and knees and use ear-hand coordination to block the shot into their net. West Geauga eight grade physical education students recently had an opportunity to play a modified version of Goalball in class. The experience allowed students, both with and without visual impairments, to enjoy the game together. Special thank you to the Cleveland Sight Center who facilitated the activity for our students.
