The West Geauga Board of Education has scheduled a special meeting on April 30, 2025 at 5:00 PM for the following purpose:
Consider the Five -Year Capital Plan and take action on the Request for Qualifications for Professional Design Services related to the development, design and implementation of the Water Treatment/Maintenance Facility Project.
Consider and take action on personnel matters related to the hiring of the Middle School Principal, Certified Substitute and Classified Staff, as well as, the resignation of a service contract.
Consider and take action on the Memorandum of Understanding with the West Geauga Education Association and the Board of Education to extend the Employee Severance Plan to May 7, 2025.
Consider and take action on the Memorandum of Understanding with the OAPSE, AFSCME Local #4, and its affiliate, OAPSE Local #255 and the Board of Education to clarify maintenance staff uniform cleaning and to amend the promotion of food service personnel.
Consider and take action to transfer funds from the General Fund to the Termination Benefits Fund (035) and the Capital Projects Fund (070) to cover severance pay and capital needs, respectively.
Consider and take action to revise Board policies: po1616, po1662, po2260, po2260.02, po2266, po2623, po2623.02, po3122, po3140, po3216, po3362, po4122, po4124, po4140, po4216, po4362, po5111, po5310, po5517, po6680, po8600, po8600.04,po8640, po8650, and po8660.
Hold an Executive Session to consider compensation of public employees.
